CS Seminar: Image Registration Tricks

July 21, 2011
Location: TASC1 9204W
Presenter: Dr. Jeff Orchard, Waterloo University

Image registration is the process of aligning different images of the same object.  It comes up in medical imaging, remote sensing, mosaicking, and other fields.  I will show you two registration approaches I've worked on.  One method involves using a trick of the Fourier transform to speed things up.  I employ it to create image mosaics.  The other method is a way to align many images simultaneously, rather than just two at a time.
