Research Interests

My research interests include:

  • Anatomical shape analysis
  • Shape skeletonization and pruning
  • Automatic point correspondence establishment on shapes
  • Shape statistics
  • Applicability of nonlinear dimensionality reduction in shape analysis
  • Shape visualization
  • Medial shape representations


Medical projects I am working on involve the following anatomy:

  • Bicipital groove of the proximal humerus
  • Supraspinatus (muscle in the rotator cuff in the shoulder)
  • Spinal canal
  • Basal ganglia structures

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, I completed my B.Sc.Hons. and M.Sc. degrees at U. Regina before leaving winter behind and moving to the west coast to attend SFU.  In my spare time I enjoy hiking, fishing, home renovation, and playing with my daughter.
